Is Gillis lake accessible? I went past it late November and it was fine, wondering if it's clear now. The coq highway cams show no snow all the way along...

It's the coldwater one, right where murray lake FSR dumps out on the north side.

It's still way too early as a rule for any good areas. But fear not, we now have till the 30th to get a bruin in them parts!

Ya we went up this time last year and hit snow but nothing much the good old 8L dodge couldn't handle lol

So the road isn't plowed for logging?

The power line road might be, they were slinging a second set of high tension lines last fall, not sure if they got finished but if they didn't it will be plowed. Trouble is getting around off that road?

if I'm not mistaken the changes in the new regs don't take effect until next season. Unless they amended them for this season as well. Which would be AWESOME!

So the road by cold water still has snow? Hmmm might be going hunting up there next weekend, hope it's clear and green by then!

Was up there last Saturday (May 17th). Julliet Exit. No snow on most of the main FSR's except for some patches in the heavy shade. Starting to green up, but only the lower, warmer areas have much hope. Saw one bear, but could not connect.

The road out through Boston Bar is washed out (another thread here) so we came out on Patchett Rd.
