Got couple bear hides tanned already and I was thinking of taking it to them , looked at there gallery and they looked pretty good .... prices are good and not breaking the bank . has anyone had bad reviews from them, if so what are others taxidermist that are good and wont break the bank?

Are you just getting it tanned or mounted?

One friend just had two blackies done and another had a grizz done. For a basic rug and for the price it's tough to beat. Peter buys and sells lots of rugs so I'm not sure those photos are actually ones he's done up. I've dealt with him on numerous occasions and it's been very positive.

His price list appears to be for already finished mounts. Would the prices be the same for having one made for you? If so I may be interested in having my next bear done by him.

Did my buddies 6' grizz (closed mouth) rug last year for $650. I believe the blackies may have been slightly less.

The prices would be the same unless hes skinning salting or tanning it for you will be charged extra plus tax too but his prices are low for a really good taxidermist it will cost me $875 for my life size mount and $500-600 for the rug , plus tax. Thats pretty good for two blackies unlike other places

This was my bear and it looks good to me, I would certainly have Peter do a bear for me again. If I get a chance I could take a few pics for you if you want them.

Since I haven't gotten out bear hunting and you killed that nice bear last Saturday I'm having a tough time saying your name . . . I'm working through it! ;)
It seems like grizz rugs run ~$200/ft so getting it for half that is pretty good. The other $600 can go towards another rifle!

Sounds pretty cheap! I thought that A1 only bought and sold taxidermy ??? I never knew he actually did the work himself ???
