We drove to Prince Rupert last week to meet up with a charter boat, it was booked on line by another acquaintance for a friend of mine and his family. We meet up with the boat and it looks like it has been sitting idle for 6-8 months looked disgusting! I went on board and the smell of fuel was over powering. About this time the owner/guide shows up and looks about the same as the boat.... confrontational, loud, aggressive, real pussy cat.... not!! One quick look on board and inside and I told my friend the boat was not safe to venture out in, so we walked. If you want to know the name of the charter, PM me and I will gladly tell you! We where able to find another guide and boat on short notice, a top rate skipper clean, comfortable boat,he got us in to some large halibut, and BIG ling cod! I will use again! His name is Rodney, and he hangs out around foggy point.
