Hm, so Sunday is deal day, last day of the show? I usually go Friday night when the displayers are fresh. Mostly I go just to look at what's out there. I'm not planning any major purchases.

Oh yea, and this year I'll be wearing my hat, so maybe I'll meet a few of you in r/t instead of cyberland.

Not sure yet what day I can make it to the Abbotsford Sportsmans Show, but I'll be there and proudly wearing my HBC hat.
It'll be a real pleasure to hopefully meet in person and speak with some of the great folks from Hunting BC.
Hope to see you at the Fraser Valley Hunting & Fishing rendezvous.

Last year I was in the market for boots and ended up with a pair of Irish Setter Deer Trackers for $89.00. They were over $200. at Marks the previous week. This year I'm hoping to find a sale on a Leupold scope.

a good plan is to go on friday to check things out, them go back on Sunday.. the dealers dont want to pack the stuff back to their stores, so they tend to let things go a little cheaper on Sunday.
But keep in mind, last year was about 90% fishing stuff.....

Thanks guys, I saw that Reliable and Italian were setting up, in the market for a new rifle and wanted to check out tradex.

Mind you, I love to fish too, there must be lots of stuff I need:grin:

Due to work the only time I can hit the show is Sunday morning. So I think I'll get a coffee and head over there for 9:30 or so. The doors don't open 'till 10:00 so that should give me time to spot those awsome HBC hats8).

I might go Friday night but if not will be there first thing on either Sat or Sun. I don't have my hat yet but if I see others I'll come over and say hi. I always look forward to it but I'll be the one looking for the exit if it's as busy as it was last year. Being herded like cattle in 300 person lineup to buy a duck call is a bit much.:-|

It's settled I'll be there friday evening hoping to beat the crowds that will descend on the place this weekend.

Bearheart,

The show is at the Abbotsford tradex. Take the same exit as the Abbotsford airport. Just google outdoor show and Abbotsford tradex for directions

I'm curious to see what the Fed is going to be doing. It would be REAL COOL if they had a power point presentation of sorts. Anything that will increase the awareness will be helpful though, in getting Hunters submitting their letters in to the M.O.E.

I'm sure that there will be a lot of 'buzz' about the Wildlife Allocations Policy.

Where precisely is the show? which exit to take? thanks alot! You take the Mt. Lehman Road exit south and follow the signs to the airport. There should be lots of signs for the Tradex as well.

If anybody wants to say hi I will be at the show all weekend staffing our booth. I'm not sure of our location exactly but it's the West Coast Resorts booth in the fishing section. I hope to see you there, maybe go for a beer in the "Think Tank" (Beer Garden).

I bet the display will be 'non-controversial', on the fence, selling memberships, lottery?, BCWF labeled stuff.

I just had a visit from rick berreth this morning! He had the new #5, B.C. Non/typical mule deer rack with him! WOW, WOW, WOW! Hes on his way down there to sell some of his books. The buck was taken in reg. 3 last season, and nets 271 NT. I took pics of it but he doesnt want me to show you guys for another week! He will have it at the show, so theres one more reason to go guys! Ill post the pics when he permits me!

Same buck, Since kirby already spilled the beans here, i posted my pics in the thread as well. It would of been a looong week for me to withhold that pic from you guys! It was truly amazing to see and hold, It made that 220 archery buck we drooled over look dinky!

Didn't get to 'see' much of the show. About 20 minutes after opening the gates, the chin waggin never ceased. Steady flow of people. I think the weekend is going to be NUTS!

I did do a quick lap just before they opened the doors, but couldn't find that monster rack being displayed.

Cheap plug for my friends @ The Johnson Lake Resort.

My wife and I went to the show tonight  (Friday). The new rack brought in by Rick Berreth,...wow:shock: ! Very nice fellow to talk to. Of course his other racks are also great. We went by Deluxe Wall tents and thanked the fellow for being a sponsor on this site. I will hit the show again on Sunday.
