Hey everyone.

So short story. We had a trip booked up to Wasley lake in Douglas lake ranch to fill in for a few guys who said the couldn't make it. There loss was our gain. But now they have been able to make the trip so now me and my buds are out. Low blow but way she goes it was there trip to begin with.

So here's my question. We have the time booked off for the end of may. Where would you go in the vicinity? With the quality of fish you could get at Wasley? We fish the Kane valley quite often and know that area well and if all else fails we might end up back there. I've been up to Roche a few times and the lakes around there but was hoping to broaden our horizons.

I know it's like asking for a honey hole trust me I know fishing holes are a sacred thing. But thought I'd at least see what some people had to say and could help out a couple guys with visions of big bows in there head.

Thanks in advance.

Why not go to Wasley as well? Used to catch some dandies there back in the day. There is public access for those willing to hike a couple of kms.

If you want a chance to catch a rainbow over 15 lbs try forest lake.

Thought about that too. But my buds aren't equipped with belly boats so strictly fishing from the alums. Heard about Peter Hope. Talked to them all we might just explore hit up a few lakes with the time we have.

What type of fishing are you comfortable with? Not too far from there are Jimmy, Woods, and Nugget lakes.
Fishing chironomids with long leaders and strike indicators works well producing some dandy and sizable fish from those lakes. They are accessed from the Ingram-Jimmy Lake FSRs.

With the clear water White Lake is a great place to hone your chironomid techniques.

Nice fish in Peterhope, but many call it Peterhopeless for a reason. Hathume might be an option nice fish usually pretty productive. I like the Jimmy suggestion

Love it guys. Keep em coming. Thank you so much. So that's two votes for this jimmy lake. I'll might have to take a road trip somewhere in between.

White lake I've also haven't heard of but I will surely be looking into that as well.

Camping at white is not my idea of fun. Right along the road with 50 people driving by unless things have changed. Great Lake though
