After reading through the regs I am a little unsure of something. Does a "3 point elk" season mean 3 points and better? It says to refer to the antler definitions and the definitions only refer to "3 point and better" so I'm assuming that the 3 point season means that any elk with 3 or more on one side is good to go.

I realize that the same terminology is used on 4 point mule deer and 6 point elk but since I've never hunted the 3 point season I thought it best to get it straight in my head.

Same principal as the 4 point Mulie and 6 point bull season.

Minimum 3 points, 1 side, you can shoot.

3 or more on one side, good to go.

Beware: spike bull elk means a bull elk with no more than 1 tine on EACH side. 1x2 elk are NOT spike bulls.
