Saw 4 teenie tiny ones with Mom and dad on the Tulameen in Coalmont. Can't believe they took the little ones in the river as it was high and fast but they seem to keep them corraled between them to stop them from being swept away.

Saw pairs (no goslings) through Bridesville:

I know they are not goslings but it is pretty cool that I have a ducks nest in my back yard in the middle of Vancouver:

Had a pair of geese take over an old osprey nest in the Ponderosa pine in our yard about a month ago. We set up the spotting scope and watching, then"...............on Wednesday morning we watched Momma goose push the goslings out of the nest to the ground, then her and pappa goose walk them down the river bank into the Kootenay river!! Five healthy little yellow goslings (one dead one at the base of the tree.)

pretty neat eat to see!

Jaffray area.

Canada Geese pose a huge urban problem. Their populations are exploding despite increased open seasons, addling and culls. In the Okanagan there is documented proof that there were no geese over wintering prior to 1968 a few pairs by the early 70's then problems occurred. Well meaning folks decided to put up nesting boxes and start to feed them. No thought about disease or water quality. Be careful what you wish for. We now have thousands of them over wintering here in the Okanagan. You have heard of the term sh..t through a goose...Well exactly how fast is that??? When Geese are feeding they go every 6-10 min. If you have 100 geese on a beach that means there will be 100 green squishes on the beach in about 10 min. Now this would not pose a problem unless your local economy was not tourism based ie Oosyoos, Pentiction, Kelowna Vernon.
If you want to help then get out there during hunting season and take your limits!!!

City of Kelowna does not make it easy to "help them":

One less today but I must say the Eagle looked like a very mature well fed bird.

Two different clutches down by the Port Mann Bridge. Both families come up the boat ramp at Macuabeak every morning. About 2 wks difference in the groups based on size. One of 5 one of 3. Learning to swim pretty damn good in the freshet!
