This guy was hanging out near Extew last night. I watched him walk around and eat grass for about 20 minutes. He could care less that I was parked beside him.

Saw a decent black on the other side of the Skeena this morning. tracks as wide as my caulk boot. May have to go pick a fight with him this weekend.

That young grizz knows he is in a grizzly closed area, good looking bear. I would guess he is a young boar....

The snout is pretty long and thick for his size which is why I guessed boar, maybe firstshot can lift it's leg and find out for us ;) lol.

Snout of a boar. Looks like this bear has been out a while . . . hide doesn't look that great. Coastal bear so hides are often of lower quality.

Nice pic! I work down that ways frequently and this time of year usually has a few grizz wandering around down there. Hats off to the fellas that can tell boar from sow, looks like a bear to me.

Must be a few Krauts on the site that like their bears! ;)

furs pretty dark, my uneducated guess would be a 3-4 year old boar with some filling out to do.. wish i could see some of those !!

Looks to me like you need to do more road hunting! Some nice big grizz have been taken in the spring on the road and power line along the Cranberry.
