I would agree with you on both points....a skilled shooter with good form can be consistently accurate at tremendous distance with today's high tech compound bows. I'm not in that league by any stretch of the imagination, but I do surprise myself with how consistent I can shoot at distances that are 2-3 times further than I would shoot at an animal.
