Typical Commy Broadcasting Corp BS, look at the "other" links to this story. Hunters killing off the sheep, even links for 2005..............

Cool sheep to see, amazing growth for 10 years old.

Cheers

Hey, we the tax payers fund the CBC.

We the taxpayers have been slashing funding for CBC for years, and every time I hear one of their broadcasters or some elite academic bemoan that fact, I smile to myself.

If I could I'd withhold every penny of my tax dollar that goes to the Commie Broadcasting Corp. I've seen first hand how they twist the news. They should have been run out of town a long time ago.

We shouldn't give all the flack to the CBC, save some for the "Hunter selection induced Genetic Harm" gang of sheep researchers; Festa-Bianchet, Anderson, Hubbs, Hogg, Hengeveld, Turelli, and Coltman, etc.. I put Coltman last on the list due to his recent recanting of this theory, although the BC gov. did use his research when developing the latest BH sheep management plan.

For the last five years in Alberta we have been actively fighting this research group's claims of Genetic harm having occurred to our Province wide BH sheep population due to hunter selection based on legal requirements. Despite not being able to provide data that Proves their theory, these researchers love to get the media soundbite saying so, as it has been very lucrative for them.

This concept of "Genetic Harm" is now being applied to ALL species of animals, with the usual cry that "Trophy" hunting must be highly curtailed. Don't ignore this direction of research, it will be present within future management considerations for BC big game hunting as well
