hi all...any tips on fishing this lake?...going
to try out the new boat sat/sun so thought bring
the rods?.....thx larry

youtube!! lol.....guide said march-april best
time!! cool!....trout killers. coyote spoons etc!

think ill just bring some of the ocean gear!!...thanks larry

watch out for the wind! It can come up in a heartbeat. Fish are up near the surface and available in spring. Flies (fry patterns) can be deadly along the inlet dropoff from the river.

There is a drop off just out from where the Thompson River flows in to the lake - troll back and forth across there ! Good LUCK ! RJ

thx guys!....we stayed the night at steelhead
prov park- free!:)...little windy right now at 9am...gonna have
a look at the savona launch then make our way
to tobiabo launch!....will try to fish that spot where
you guys are talking about!....dont have a depthsounder
installed yet so finding that trough will be tough!! lol

ps...rj, are u the same rj from bc big shots?

update!...windy as all hell so just worried about
driving the new jetboat-- sure is a dif beast to tame
than a prop!??...reverse is from the bizarro world!!...lol...anyways
tomorrow "should"be nicer?..lol

oh yah..one boat is drifting back and forth
at the OUTLET of the lake!...one guy driving and 2
guys casting?....they would then turn around
and try again once they hit the "no fishing" signs
on the thompson river?...another good spot?...larry

I may be wrong, but the Highway #1 bridge is the fishing boundary between Kamloops Lake andthe Thompson River.
