Anbody been in the Skagit for Bears yet

I was told there were a few bears spotted in the Skagit this week. Any truth to those rumors. I was thinking of that area for bears in the next couple of weeks.

I am sure they are out but if there isnt a tonne of new veg around taste may not be patable for a dog I would focus energy at lower elevation still

im sure there are some around. But because of the cold weather I would give them another week or two. I was up there April 1 last year and saw the ass of one thats it for 4 days. What a waist of a trip.

Took a drive up there this past weekend. Put a few kms on the feet and didn't come across any fresh tracks or scat. Not much for fresh growth on any of the southern hill sides, lots of skunk cabbage starting to grow on the lower sections down by the river tho.

To early for that area give it at least another 10 days.
