After my first black hybrid in December i got, i have seen and tried 7 times to get this one in my field. I know its the same one because of the nasty limp it had in its hind. Saw this guy around noon hunting so i went out there and waited, kneeling behind my blind. Lost sight of of it as it came down the fence line and end up dropping it 10 feet away from me. Not as big as my first hybrid black but helps thin the coyote problem around here.

Way to go man. Driving through your neck of the woods 2 weeks ago I saw one criss crossing the road. At a distance I thought it was a small stray German Sheppard because of the size and color but as I got closer I saw that it was definitely a yote, thinner face and that definite gait that they have. Haven't seen that dark a color before.

PS. I was showing your little sis how the Pythagorean Theorem can be applied to hunting, measuring horizontal distance of travel versus straight line rangefinder distance. Too funny.

Funny enough I saw one of these black devils today as well, on private property sadly. First I've ever seen one so dark

Were you showing little sis all you mathmatical professor gimmicks again Mr Legend!!!. Before anything she has to get her 243 so i got a reason to go out for youth season. The wife came home and told her i brought a dog home she wasnt impressed. I said its well trained, stays on command and soon will be in the house. She saw it and said," damn i should of hit it with the truck last week when i saw it outside the drive way"...

Do you skin them and send the hides in ? If so what $ do they bring ? Regardless the more of those that are laid out the better .

I called my taxidermy last night and talked to a local trapper and they had no need for the hide. I also talk to A1 Fur Traders who i deal with and they advised me that they have no money value. I also looked around and did some reaseacher from a fur auction out back east and saw coyote pelts didnt sell that great and wasnt good on the market. So I did skin it and but it in the freezer. When I come around to it I will get both my black hybrid coyotes tanned and hang the big one in the house and the little one I might just give it away

Not Maple Ridge exactly but you're in the right Metropolitan area. You're German Sheppard's son's owner should take better care of his pets. :)

Cool , yeah I wouldn't imagine the value as a hide would be much , but definitely have some good "what's that " value as a wall hanger.

One of our instructors for the BCTA has taken several black coyotes out of the Maple Ridge area. Commercially they have little or no value as there is never enough to create a string or lot...You might go on line and try to sell them there. Would make a great live mount.

It was probley its cousin because i already got its twin in the same field in December. So tell its cousin to let me know he is crossing my field or he is gonna get a asprin like his cousins did..
