Just became aware that two bull elk have been poached and left to rot on Sentinel Mountain, which is accessed by Mt. Sentinel North FSR in the Pass Creek Valley. It appears the elk were poached on the evening of April 5th. Mt Sentinel is located north east of Castlegar BC. Mt Sentinel FSR is ~ 20min from Castlegar.

The CO's are looking for any information that may help with the investigation. If you have any information please call the RAPP line 1-877-952-7277.

Lets hope we catch them - what a disgusting act this is:evil:

That's unfortunate and very frustrating to hear. Was just through there last weekend and watched a herd not too far from there. Hopefully they catch the poacher(s)

What a shame. I hope they catch this loser. Buddy of mine found one of the bulls and got the COs involved.

so is that poaching...the poachers that we have caught around here shoot animals out of season or take an extra deer or two...they then get caught after they get the animals home because they have big mouths or someone saw them..these animals that are being left in the bush shot is my question..are they poached or just plain murdered?

This gives hunters a bad name and ruins future opportunities for us. It's a shame this goes on, hopefully a lead can be made..

I wonder what the point of this is. Why does someone want a bunch of elk dead?

I wonder if the CO's will even try to recover the bullets to determine the calibre used?
