Yes in Squamish. I'm leaving for my Grizz hunt just before the end of this month so I won't be going for a Black Bear until I return or I see a nice one on the trip, it would be nice to get a grizz and black on the same trip.

A Black Bear carcass was seen a few km from Moyie Lake in Region 4. It was laying in the ditch without its head and was readily visible from the highway, apparently there for some time. It appeared to have been eaten up partialy, most likely by Coyotes.

Also have seen Bear sign near the St. Mary river... Weather has been nice, so I am sure Region 4 Bears are out and about now!

They sure are out my man. Saw a sow with a beautiful done up rub face and her fatso cub two sundays ago. My hard work knowledge about bears, normally the sows and little bears are out before the big bears. Something like the bigger they are, harder to get outta bed. I dunno ask 95% of the old farts here if its true....lol. Here some pics. Please dont judge her, she just woke up and has her mascara on still.

I was out on Sunday bombing around the Squamish Valley and didn't see any sign. Although I wasn't looking all that hard. It seemed to me that things hadn't greened up much yet.

My son and I watched a good sized bear yawning and scratching himself in Smithers today, I got the impression he just crawled out. We walked up to about 30m of it and had a good look. The kid was pumped!

My uncle's garbage got shredded and a big ol' bear crap pile left behind beside it last week... in westbank. (oh, right... west kelowna) So the garbage bears are out! I want the ones a little further out, that are less likely to taste like week-old McDonald's wrappers though. :-D

I'm sure sometimes they are in Stanley Park, you might have better luck heading down to Oasis Ultra Lounge or Celebrities Night Club to find them!!!!!

Say you are hunting for bear meat, and they might let you take a bite ;)

I have scouted deer in the spring for the fall during a bear hunt and they don't seem to be there in the fall.
