Weird Wound on a Doe?

Saw this doe? on the way to work this morning, and noticed something hanging off her side. I got beside her and saw a weird wound protruding from her stomach. It was as round as a soup can, and stuck out 3 inches. Sure hope this isn't a new disease, as I hunt near where I saw her. Maybe she was hit by a car? She didn't seem to limp or stagger when she ran off tho. Anyone else encountered anything like this? Weird!

Looks like an abscess or a tumour.

ya just a cyst or something like that. I would not worry about it.

I seriously doubt that.It`s a ruptured cyst.We had a mulie doe here with a cyst the size of a basketball on her belly.One day it was gone except for a similar scar.

Gonorrhea, totally kidding!I would have to go with what the other posters said earlier, most likely an infected cyst or something. I would think twice about pulling the trigger on a deer if I noticed that though!! Be tough getting passed the mentally imagery as I was chewing down on the tenderloins!

Could be any of the previous mentioned ... Or maybe a tick bite became infected. She will likely heal up. Deer are harder than a coffin nail

I saw a black bear two days in a row with something kind of resembling this-I couldn't get a photo with my phone as he was to far away both times but with the binos it was a bald area with a gross looking lump. Same type of thing?
