Hi Folks,
Wondering if you can share your opinion. I'm thinking about using a 150 grain TTSX Barnes VOR-TX for mixed bag hunting (deer and elk) with a 300 WM 26 inch barrel with a 10 twist. I put my chances at a big game animal/elk at 10% (based on past experience and skill level). Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

R

Yes that will work just great , shoot straight , cut your tag .

I would personally go heavier, will all that powder capacity why not, but there is no reason why that load can't take any game animal in BC cleanly.

Go hunt and worry not.

That's the kind of bullet that I would use in a low capacity shell like 308Win or 300Sav.
I prefer 180gr offerings in my 300WM.

180's up to 200's will have less wind deflection. The only way I would go 150's is if you don't have a rangefinder.
