Hi Guys,

My girlfriends dad is clearing out a few things and asked me to help with selling a few mounts.
I don't have a good idea what they're worth so could use some help.

Thanks :)

I think you might need to take better pictures if you want a ballpark price out of someone....but those are some fine nostrils!

My opinion would be 300.00 for the moose and 200.00 for the caribou nether of the two animals antlers are a large caliber rack that boo looks like a cow ??.

You got nothing to loose if you put a price in the paper try it and see go with your thoughts on a price for each price them hi you never know start out at 500.00 for the moose and 400.00 for the caribou you never know there is a buyer out there for every thing..

I have no idea as to any legalities about selling them south of the line, but I'd hazard a guess that they'll fetch more money in the US than up here. What taxidermy I have seen for sale has been worth much less than it cost to make.

Try (if legal?) Craiglist in Seattle or other large city, bigger market. Plus the average hunter may never be able to afford a moose or Boo trip in BC yet they still want a mount.

need an export permit available through front counter bc/moe to sell south of the line. just google CITES permit and it will hive you the site (don't need CITES for those, but the site will give you option of CITES or export permit).

They aren't worth too much IMO. Couple hundred bucks from the right buyer if you are lucky.

The price is most likely just going to be the price of the antlers, as the taxidermy work isn't worth much of it.

Less than what it cost you to get them mounted. It took me a long time to sell a B&C elk for less than a G.

I wish they'd bring the neck mount back. Eventually these will become popular again. Then you'll all be sorry you didn't snatch these babies up.

I'm sure a horn carver would pay 250 dollars for the moose. The Caribou will likely not sell unless you fins a movie maker or someone that is looking for that kind of thing for a movie set.

As someone above mentioned, give A1 fur buyers in Vernon a call.
