well i think you can only compare it to equal numbers . the US has 10 times the population of Canada and a higher % of hunters not to mention the density of hunting area land use.

In the us there are big numbers of hunters compared to BC. Also take a look at the gun law ,almost have of the population has some kind of a gun stored away somewhere. hunter47.

As an example, the State of Pennsylvania has almost a 1,000,000 licensed hunters and a two week rifle deer season in an area 150x300 miles. Compare that to BC with 60-80,000 hunters in a huge area with a 3 month rifle season. Somebody's bound to get shot down there. No wonder archery season is becoming so popular. John
