When do we get a season on the guys

Was there a season in the past.

has anyone hunted these beauties.

sure a lot of them in the fields

they fly nice and low and slow my type of bird.

I remember reading an old homesteading book , dont remember which one but the guy ate one for christmas dinner. I believe he said is was pretty tasty.

I believe they have LEH for them in the States. Would be a nice mount to have!

with a field like that you would fill your bag limit in about 3 minutes

Science could merit a season. But the society's and the bleeding hearts and politics. It will probably never happen.

Tundras are hunted under lotterys in a handful of states. Most states get shutdown if enough trumpeters get shot. But they do get shot every year. Montana more then Utah

Our population is the reverse of the states. They're high tundras low trumpeters. We have the opposite.

The trumpeter population has been doing very well over the past decades. Something like in general a 5% increase every year for 30 years. If they keep at that pace they may be forced to open a lottery or leh or pay for a tag for one.

I saw them as well, shit ton out there on #5 road. My buddy and I were thinking how cool it would be to shoot a couple for dinner or should I say dinners lol.
