My top scud pattern

Simple yet the most effective scud pattern I have used, its pretty much the only one I have in my box, no others have worked as well. I tie it in a few colors

mallard flank
scud dubbing (thats what its actually called)
mono for rib
mustad scud hook

thanks, I though you used epoxy for the back, but couldn't tell. i'll have to give that a try

se Derr Creek UV resin but ran out, its much cleaner and easier to use

My 2 largest rainbows were caught on a very similar pattern. I have used it many times over the years with very good results. I tied the back with a piece of clear plastic, thing always exploded eventually. The epoxy is a great idea. Thanks sharing.
