Had this draw two years ago and found it very difficult and thick, did see some bears wondering if anyone has had any success over the years.
Thanks

I don't think success rates in that area are very high, due to a lot of factors, bears are taken and some pretty good ones too. Remoteness, high spring snowpack (this year very high, last I heard...), washouts, very thick bush, rugged mountains and some water crossings that go from life threatening to certain death. If however you go in prepared for all this, and put in a solid effort of several days to a week you've got a chance.

Have you tried the walker road way in at the far end past the cabin. The southern slopes in there have bears. Probably need a tracked atv to get in. Then you have to cross the creek/river to get to the bears. On the pass lk rd you probably still need a tracked machine. Road hunt is the best in that area. Some slides way up at the back end past the outfitters camp. It is a tough hunt.

may long weekend last year we could only get to 12km on the pass lake rd. by the time the roads opened up the south facing hills had been snow free for a little while.

record snowfall this winter in Bearpaw and Dezaiko range, over 8 feet in 10 days in February alone when we were in there on top of 155 in. Gonna be a late spring. Pass lake rd usually opens in 2nd week of MAy and then the bears are up high usually. Not good for road hunting.
