Looking to do a weekend of camping/fishing around the lower mainland (within a few hours drive) mid April. Not too familiar with the lakes here in the lower mainland. Vehicle access would be a plus but I'm good for a hike too. I don't have a boat at the moment, but a friend does and if needed I could bring it.

Anyone have any good suggestions for productive lakes?

x2. Some very nice 'bows and bulls in there. Of course, in the time it takes to get there you could be most of the way to Tunkwa or any other lake around Merritt.

Weaver, wolf and wood lake up Harrison are all nice lakes to camp and catch the odd fish for a close wkd getaway all easily accessed with a 2 wheel drive. Have fun might be up there myself unless stump is off ice.

there are a few lakes north west of stave, smaller lakes, not the best fishing, but easy to get to and beautiful. check out sayres, you can pull a trailer right up to it, or devils lake is close aswell
