I was bored on this rainy evening and decided to make a Paracord Call Lanyard. Used Black and Orange. The Lanyard has 4 double drops. Turned out pretty good for my first attempt!

Not planning on selling them. Might make a couple extras for some buddies. I plan on making a few more this week in different colors and styles.

Very nice job, but definitely the wrong choice of color for the waterfowl blind IMO

Colors are all personal preference. When your in a layout blind it wont ever be seen anyways. I plan on making a few more later this week in different colors.

What kind of call? Haha. Getting more paracord this week so I might make a couple up. What colors would you guys like to see? How many drops? Its easy to do a bunch of different things. Id be willing to make one and trade it for something else but dont want to make them to sell.

Brodie, Nice work!

Are you going to post step-by-step instructions?

BrodieG

There are lots of instructionals on youtube and google if your interested. They are actually fun to make and can be made in so many different ways and styles.

Duck or goose gets close enough to see that they are going to have other other things to worry about! lol !

You could also make bird straps out of the same stuff. Good looking lanyards

You'd be surprised at what a duck will see and from how far. Believe me I'm not knocking the craftsmanship but it's only natural/neutral colors in my blinds remember a lanyard will be waving around a bit when you are calling and we don't always use layouts.

I agree with you for sure. That was more a trial run and something fun to do. On my way to get more paracord as im typing this. I will make a couple more this week and post them up.

Dragon Impact in Victoria has the best selection of paracord. Google them and go check it out. Its a fun project for sure with hundreds of options so you can make something to fit your needs.

Im going to make a few this week starting tonight and may offer a couple for sale if there is enough interest. I will keep everyone posted.

Nice job on that lanyard, don't beat yourself up over colours, seen a ton of birds killed over lanyards with every colour of the rainbow of bands covering them, the birds didn't mind! If they can see your lanyard you got way bigger issues. Nice work!! K

Yeah ive seen some crazy colored lanyards aswell! I do have to say that the natural colors look wicked though. Working on a custom one for a member here at the moment. Im going to rock the orange and black this season and see how it goes!

Just met up with Brodie and got my custom built lanyard he built. Its was made to my specs including color (no one was beating him up about the colors Kelly, just some good advice from 56 years of waterfowling but to each their own). The man does an excellent job with attention to detail for any of you waterfowlers that want a really nice call lanyard that functions well made to your specs talk to this gentleman you won't be sorry.

Thanks again "Foxton Gundogs" real nice to meet you and chat. I appreciate the kind words and glad you like your lanyard!

If anyone else has any interest in having one made and being a test dummy for my Lanyards get in touch with me. We can discuss details through PM. I would like to make another 3-5 custom lanyards for some hardcore waterfowlers to put to the test this coming season.
