The direct effect on humans is near nil but is this just another "straw", the salmon don't need. We're talking about a fish that heads out across the Pacific and still manages to return to the exact little crk. it was born in. I've got to believe that animals that can do that are extemely sensitive to some of the most minute changes in their environment. The wrong thing, what ever that may be, the tiniest bit out of kilter could have scary results.
