Since there is no archery shop in Kamloops, I figured I'd see if there are any other Archery experts in the Kamloops area that would be willing to teach me a few tips / techniques to fine tune my compound bow and improve my shooting / form? I have practiced a fair bit would like to practice more but figured I should do it right and I have tried to teach myself some stuff and learn a few things on my own but now I think I have overwhelmed myself a little with all the info and am now more confused. I am willing to compensate for your time if necessary. I was looking at seeing if I could get lessons from an actual shop but that would mean a few trips out of town at least a couple hours each way and all the other associated extra costs, just for a few one or two hour lessons, as well as all on already limited free time... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Join KTSA and meet some of the archers there? Fringe benefit; year-round access to 3 gun ranges (one is over 600m and one is indoors) and the archery range.

Jim Fox with Highland Valley Archers is a great guy. I'd recommend connecting with him.

Rick Stahl, Former WSS Manager, not sure where he is now... He is an encyclopedia when it comes to archery. I worked with him when he was at WSS down on the coast, great guy.

Hi russm86, The KTSA Archery members meet Thursday nights in the gym of the Calvary temple at 1205 Rogers Way. 6-8pm. They tend to be very busy nights as we've had such a high number of members attending as well as a large amount of new people interested in shooting. This would be a good place to make connections in the archery circle. check out our Kamloops Archers Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/kamloopsarchers to see whats going on with archery in kamloops. We are establishing a solid core and are really trying to promote 3D archery within our club to benefit our members as well as supporting other local shoots by organizing car pools etc. another good link would be http://www.outsyderadventures.com This webstore is run by our Archery President and could be interesting. We are currently shooting inside but hope to make the transition to our outdoor range in april. Our kamloops 3d shoot is April 12th and 13th. and is always a good time. Hare Assassin, I believe you are referring to the indoor pistol/firing range. There is no Archery there.
