I am going to buy the elite spotting scope, just haven't decieded between the 15x45x60 or the 20x60x70, the 20x60 is a bit heavier, your thoughts

I've got the 15-45 and I find that I don't go over 35 X very often therefore the lower power and lighter scope suits me well. Both are excellent optics for the money.

I took this picture through my spotter this summer up the Chwk valley at approx 400 - 450 yards.

Of the two, I prefer the 15-45x60.

Of the two, I prefer the 15-45x60.

I second that. It is very light and compact, you won't be disappointed.

15-45x60 for sure ,past 30 power the mirage can get bad .the lighter weight is more fun to pack around.

I have the Elite 15-45x60. I think it is great.

I would consider going with the larger 70 mm lens - Brighter, crisper views.

I have field experience with both these scopes. I prefer the 70mm. Often the higher magnification is of no use due to heat waves, but there are times when it came in handy. It is also brighter, noticeably at dawn and dusk. You pay a little more, you get a little more and you pack a little more...

I have used both and prefere the 70mm. Better at low light and with the mag at 45 is much clearer than the 60 at 45. It weighs a little more but if you cut back on the TP, baby wipes and such, in the long run you will not notice it.
