Stay close to the river, you are going to need some local intel as to when the road will be open from snow

I might check the rail tracks for roadkill are they near the river?

I'd find a moose that was hit by a train, and wait for the bears to come to it

This. If you don't have a tracked ATV of some sort you are at the mercy of the snow melt to make the road usable.

Why take chances? Take control, hit one yourself.

Just as a heads up once that bear has been hit we will turn towards where the shot came from and start heading towards you. 200 yards is not much distance to him and also that they can run a fair ways before their heart gives out if you hit him there. The number of beats per minute are less than ours so that can still go for quite a ways. You may want to bring an extra pair of shorts to change with.

Huge washout on road last year an ATV will be useful.

Even an atv might be tough going! I remember that! There was a recent derailment up there iron nutz, so CN probably made the rd passable?

Brett

good news! the road to the table has been plowed for industrial activity!, that means we can get in there when the bears wake up and theres still meat on the tracks! not like most years where the back is all greened up before you can get into it, i know there are at least 10 other people who will actually hunt there leh, just gotta beat the meat, I mean beat them to it!

I know lots! me and my dog and the ,260! I read I can get the dog to pack it's own food ,, then when it walks through the bush the bears might smell it and follow her,, then BLAM! .129g ABlr to the nose!
