Cougar Trail Cam videos....enjoy.

Seeing as there has been a few threads on cougars recently I though I would post up a few cougars I've got on trail cam video.



This one is unique from the standpoint that there are four cats on one video sequence.
That's a lot of mouths to feed and an obvious hit on the deer population.

This one is cool.
Watch how the cats go about their business simply doing what cats do then......
One of them picks up on the cam and goes into stalking mode.
Note how the other one is in "backup".
Too bad I didn't have the video length set for another few seconds as the cat is just getting on the cam when it times out.
There's sound on the video so you will hear the cat's claws as it starts to climb the tree.

Decent cat.
I seldom get daytime videos on cats so this was good to see.

Very cool!
I just pulled a couple of cams on Sunday and one had 4 separate pic sequences of a cougar(s?). It also had cougar hounds, cougar hunters. Cat also appears the next day after the hounds.
Sure makes me wish I was using the video mode.

Yes, I often set up cameras facing each other.
I do this when I add a new camera to the fleet so I can compare it's performance to a proven one.
You would be surprised at the inconsistencies.
Unless you quantify a camera's performance under varied conditions you truly don't know just how efficient the triggering is.
Temperature, speed and angle of target etc all can produce varied results.

She chews on my cam, b*tch.
Ended up putting a tooth thru the IR lens.
Of all the cats I've got on cam this is the first one that's chewed on one.
