mount wood side road aggasiz

Hey everyone, i have been wanting to do a little trout fishing, and i was wondering if the roads up mount woodside to stacey lake in aggassiz would be passable, i have a stock 4x4 f150.

It snowed a bit last weekend up there, might be all gone by now though.

Looking out my window, there is a light dusting of snow from last night. While I haven't been up there this winter, Stacey lake is set back and the snow stays there a lot longer than on the slashes just before it. I think that it is probably still iced over.

I went up Dec 10, and once I hit the peak it was a fricking ice rink. I have a real nice 4x4 and snow doesnt scare me but ice with cliffs do. We parked and walked,

I would have a backup plan if you hit the same ice I saw.

My wife and I took the quads for a chew up there today. There is a foot of snow on the ground on top right. We were in white out conditions on top, had a good ride. A word to the wise. There was a buncher working up there so plan on some hauling happening in the near future.
