Here is a stone fly nymph that has provided me many successful days. Figured I would share it, I also tie it in light brown/gold

Out of curiosity what vice are you using?

That looks deadly! Is it weighted? I usually tie mine withs tungsten bead head to get them down into the zone(fish under a floating line). What is the body material and wing case?

Yes lots of lead wire.............body material is a combo of things I put together, wing is turkey

Are you tying it in red to match a local bug or for visibility reasons? I used to tie mine in black and gold on size 4's. Have caught lots of trout with them. They always seem to fish better after its been beat up a bit. Is that a size 6 hook?

Its actually brown/auburn, I also tie it in black, gold, yellow and green. All have their own creek/river I fish them in.
