I saw this tool on the Cabela's site and got quite a chuckle. They have a section on reviews of their products and this thing scored quite high with those that had used it. For around $10 US might be worth a try.

You know, I'm not really that anally retentive about the old "ring around the bunghole" deal.

You cut around it as far as you can, pull on it and cut a bit more, then when you open the animal up , cut a bit on the inside and pull it through.

So what if a few pellets spill out? You collect 'em up and chuck 'em.

They are clean ungulate droppings for goodness sake, our own hands are probably filthier than deer shit as far as that goes, and then there's the blood that usually sloshes around to wash the carcass out anyway.

I wipe it out with dry grass or moss or whatever is around anyway.

No big deal.

The instructions say; ”stick in and twist it” doing this will make one hell of a mess as it tears the pong.


Besides it’s useless to me, the dang thing only comes in blaze orange. If I am going to buy one I want it in the latest camouflage pattern.:lol:
