Marc,
steveo32 is also the guy in the first video clip of the Double Dropper. We've both been in on 2 bucks over 200 inches in 2 years.

No kill shots on video were captured, not unless you count the great killshot on the little whitey I killed opening day that my buddy just so happened to record over top of. ;)
I'll try to keep the video coming as the winter progress'. Good way to ease the post season blues as we wait for the spring Shed Season and spring bears. When I get some time this week I'll try to upload some footage of MnT from 2005 when he was a 225 inch giant. Some of you may have seen it before but I'm sure some haven't.

When I was younger, I remember wishing there was such a magizine, I hated how everything was Whitetail this and Whitetail that... Anyways, I stopped buying magizines except for Big Buck, then I quit buying them too...funny how adding 4 little ones to the family changes a persons priorities.

Steve, now that you've harvested your old buddy, do you feel, or anticipate feeling that something is missing? From what I've read it seems that you two had a bit of history. Do you have any idea of his age? Those sheds that have been chewed look to be a few years old, and although I'm guessing I would imagine he was atleast 5-7 years old when he was sporting those. Maybe 11-12 years old when you harvested him...I noticed his ear is split, I'd bet his cape garners a few old war wounds...

Soup,
I had been following MnT since 2001 when he was just a young buck with a lot of potential. Since I pretty much watched him grow up, I estimate he was 8 1/2 or 9 1/2 years old when I killed him. Even though I have a lot of history with this buck, there have been plenty of other monsters like Houdini, BoneHead, Double Drop, Deep Forks and WideBugger just to name a few, that I have played the cat and mouse game with for years and was made the fool again and again. There will be plenty of others in the future. I've got a lot of good hunting years left to be chasing monster muleys. And just think, my kids are just coming of age where they will be killing monsters of their own. I'm sure I'll play packmule for several years before they will return the favor and do the same for me. :) :)
