Had some time to sit down and tie. Trying to stock up for spring/summer

figured I would share with everyone

This is a great dry pattern drifted along the edges of the foam in a creek or river. This can be frustrating at times to tie as the extended body is actually one feather. So it can be time consuming to find a feather with the right length and proportions. Then you have the task of trimming, dividing and tying it in. It gets wrecked pretty fast but fish love it

This is my go-to micro leech, I just ran out of these glass beads so have to hit up Michaels craft store next time im near one.

Nothing but admiration for this sort of detailed work. Does the first one have a name? Looks like some sort of mayfly thats been gone over with an afro comb. Very buggy and lethal looking.

Iv had this pattern for over 8 years. Its a mayfly pattern, like I said it can be a pain to tie, mainly because everything has to be perfect before I put it in my box lol.

Well done Muskrat, I have been looking for a stone fly pattern for the interior. Yours is a great pattern to try. Now I just have to finish my renovations and somehow get my 2 year old twins to give me half on hour of free time! Thanks for posting, it's giving me the fishing bug!

what techniques do you use for whitefish?
I just can't ever get them interested.
and my favourite pike lake has tons of huge whitefish that are just cruising the shallows.
frustrating watching them and never getting a bite.

I will fish it below an indicator, at what depth depends on how deep water you are in and where the strike zone is. I have a few patterns for whitefish I will share later.

Also retrieving the pattern by giving it a little twitch, pause, twitch, pause will also get their attention.
