A member here posted some photos of his wonderful flies he tied...I have forgotten his name much to my embarrassment.

He was mentioning he now ties his chronomids using a special gel that dries instantaneously under a special UV light..

I have my hunting partner in Kamloops and was hoping to get the name of the light and gel and see if wholesale sports has it??

Im thinking the gentleman who posted was Muskrat???or maybe not??

any advice will be greatfully received..

cheers

Steven

Loon outdoors. You get uv paint, uv hard head and a uv light. Can get them seperately or in a kit. Can't remember product numbers right now and I don't have a catalogue with me.

Head down to Blue Mountain on Mackenzie and try and catch Jack Simpson when he's in. They should be able to order it for you.

Pm'd you back srupp,

for anyone else interested. I have experiements with ALOT of UV products. And in the end http://www.deercreek.co.uk/DIAMOND-UV-RESINS.html has a most excellent product and for my chironomids and smaller trout flys I use http://www.flyboxdirect.co.uk/product/rock-hard-varnish/

For an even cheaper option, try Suncure. It's a UV setting epoxy used by surfers to fix board dings. Can find it or equivalents on most surf supply sites.
