Slow Season Bush Pics

Spent a day in the bush this week just poking around and looking for snowshoe hares. First time ever targeting them. Had a great day.

Does my soul good to be in the forest, enjoying the quiet, the peacefulness and observing all I can take in. Especially like the snow as so much is revealed by their tracks. Saw lots of interesting things. Found this tree a bear obviously climbed at some point.

Got myself one rabbit which made for a good dinner and lunch the next day. Tough little critters though. I always like looking at bear tracks. Have seen some aspen that have years worth of tracks on them. They make for a cool photo subject. Good job on the bunny. I like to deep fry them. Very tastey.

Went out for a hike today and was really disturbed to find a cow moose poached. It has been reported along with caliber size and cigarette butts. Can’t wait to get back out in the woods. I have a pup who hasn't had his 2nd shots yet so we're not getting out much but come the 24th we'll be out there everyday :-D
