So today I took my Nucanoe out for it's maiden Sea Duck excursion I named her Miho all boats need a name. I fab'd up a homemade blind for it and today I decided to call the weatherman's bluff and went to the shores double checked the winds and decided if nothing else I would see what it was like to put out long lines from the canoe.
The winds stayed calm about 6-8 knots, and I worked out the kinks and have some ideas to make everything more efficient for next time.

I think Miho will prove a deadly asset when targeting sea ducks

Thanks, I'm super pleased with it. I now hunt, fish and drop crabs traps with it, and tour around for trout with the kids. It is a super stable platform, and pretty portable I haul it around by myself usually with all it's gear already loaded. I'll throw a thread together soon about it and the DIY blind

She is a solo rig when hunting, much to the wife's displeasure ;) I may have to buy another one now

How do they taste?

They taste just fine, I typically dump the sea ducks in the pepperoni pile. But have soaked them in milk overnight (after the cold saltwater soaks) and cook like any puddle duck.

Great looking rig Kiel, some nice skunkheads there.
That a hen scooter on the bottom of the pile? Can't really see it so it's hard to tell.
