HAHA!! That made me laugh. Ya the old man never cared too much about having the coolest or best hunting clothes/gear. Somewhere there's a grade 7 kid out there without a back pack, their loss, my dad's gain apparently! He wore this killer red jacket hunting for decades and we used to grill him for it, but he would still get his buck every year hiking in it so whatever floats your boat i guess

Yes I guess it was him! I come from a long line of hunters though. I hunted with my grandpa every year as well until he passed two years ago, also with my great grandpa back when I was a little kid! the tradition lives on in my family. we still do 2 trips every year with the uncles and cousins and it's a blast. I feel very lucky to come from a family that's so into the outdoors.
