Cultus Lake winter fishing

Just wondering how fishing is at Cultus Lake in Chilliwack during the winter months? Does it freeze??? Going to Chilliwack for a month to do some training and looking to do some fishing on weekends.

That lake never freezes. I've never fished there but I've heard it can be decent in the winter. Lots of pike minnow in there though.

Pike Minnow. That's the proper name. You probably know them as squawfish.

I've caught some big dollies in the spring. The fishing can be realy good when the fry start swimming

This is true! Best luck they say is when dogwoods are in bloom.. My best Dollie was then, just shy of 8lbs!

Ive caught some nice couple pound trout outa there.mostly spring time. But u never know
