Can anyone point me in the right direction for a legit newbie safety course and everything I need to be licensed? Too many to choose from online and I really don't want to overpay for useless classroom hours.

Thanks, Jason

I took mine at the local fish and game club and found it to be quite informative.
PAL and RPAL was $200

Where are you located? Local fish and game club would be your best bet. Or just call the closest guy on the list you have.

I'm in North Vancouver. Thank you for the quick response, that's awesome.

Some hunting stores will offer the courses through the store.

I second the recommendation for Silvercore! The classroom training is all good with lots of hands on training with deactivated firearms.

Thanks, Brian. I think we have a winner. Exactly what I'm looking for.

Jason, Check out Firearm Training Center in Cloverdale, Kent Archibald runs his courses every weekend, usually 12-20 people at a time. Hes got Mavrick 88 and Mossberg ATR's as his inert training guns. A few hours of the course are spent hands on the rest is "useless classroom hours" that you will be sitting through no matter who is providing the course as there is required material that must be covered.
