Pretty typical season for me. No shooting but got to see some nice country and spend time with great friends and family. Will post up a few trail cam pics I got in 2013, still need to rig up that set gun...

I called in and passed up a nice little 5x4 bull elk 2 days after my partner shot that 6x6, I was hoping he had a bit more horn when he crested the hill above me. That sucker would only come to chuckles and bugles, cow calls wouldn't do it for him. Kinda regretted it later but if I didn't I would of missed out on a few great hunts later where we got in close on some bulls but never got a visual.

Had a moose LEH too, all 3 days I had to hunt it rained steady. Had some good grub and drinks in the wall tent though!

smart ass, the rifle could have been in a better spot. Maybe crack the bolt open at least.

I'll try to remember next year. We were probably more in danger of tripping on some ground debris than being shot by an unloaded rifle that was not pointing at either of us

I got out as much as I could, which is about 3 weeks worth of trips away from home and a couple days a week around home.

why is it there is always one smart ass that has something other than congrats to say...in the words of a buddy of mine...bugger off!

On a side note...nice elk and moose. Looks like you got a dandy spot or 2. Thanks for sharing

Yep there always seems to be one that has some kind of negative comment from someone who must be perfect , just ignore them.

Now that that is out of the way great season. Love the elk and the mullet boy moose :) if I remember correctly a 7mm-08 and 120 gr Ballistic Tip?

had the rifle (loaded) pointed at my face but moved it for the pic I noticed the "Closed" bolt right off, I was trying to think of a way to mention it without sounding like a Dick! Anyways, looks and sounds like you guys had a great year, and that's what it's all about! Good job!

Thanks M.Dean for the support. Didn't mean to be a dick, just an observation. Some people fly right off the handle. A spade is a spade.

I can't believe people still get thier knickers in an uproar with regards to pics with rifles in them. Even if the rifle was loaded, round in chamber , safety off and actually pointed at someone (and it wasn't any if those things).....it's not going to go off just sitting there. A dead moose cannot pull a trigger!
