Picked up a Speckled belly & a couple of mallards on Christmas morning & 5 mallards, 2 widgeon on boxing day. First ever Speckled for me. This weekend should be outstanding in the backyard.

Well done, different story for me. I have not shot a duck let a loan see a bunch in 4 weeks. In the 6 fields I hunt have been skunked.

That speck should be good eating. The area where we are hunting is getting good again. Got my first (this season) 2 Gadwalls this past week.

It has been the same for us out here in chilliwack, but we are finally getting some birds into the fields out here. The last week or so we have had a couple of days where there are so many birds over our blind that it's hard to decide which group to shoot,lol. Nice Speck there Robert, wish I had been there when you got it, would have been a first for me also :)
