Hey guys,

I have a couple racks, all skull caps, that I am going to be mounting. They range in age from 1.5 months to 2-3 years and the bone is obviously dry on all of them.

Most the of them were skulls were capped in the field and the cuts arent the cleanest or exactly where I want them.

What is the best tool/method to cut them now? I was thinking dremel tool? or maybe a reciprocating saw?

Thanks

If you can use someones band saw this will work good to do the job ..

I find the disk sander in a wood work shop is the best to square up skull plates. Bring incense to burn afterwards cause the smell as downright nasty! :)

Use a Zip cut on a mini grinder... No holds barred this is in my opinion the best ! And it does it fast .

Reciprocal saw will do it, but it's a little jumpy for display work if you ask me. I'd rather do it slow and stead with a hand saw.

Dremel tool with fibreglass cuttoff discs..pretty safe..easy to maintain line..fast..

I think I'd try one of my little Japanese pull saws first if that didn't work well I'd go to Srupp's plan
