Its been a long time since posting a story, not much to brag about over the last couple of years. But as we all know, with each new hunting season we get to start out with fresh enthusiasum and excitement. And this was the case when this guy came strolling by a few days before the season started.

So for two and a half months I spent endless hours sitting, hiking, and hoping to get a glimpse of this guy. I never saw him or even got one picture of him untill mid November. Finally he started showing up on my camera once every 3-4 days around midnight. So Every evening I could I would be set up in my spot hoping for the chance. Then one day after work, I picked up both my boys from daycare and we proceded to the spot for another uneventful evening of nothing to see. But to our suprise, for the first time in over a month, the deer finally decided to wander into our spot. At over 300 yards and tall grass behind, I could see the outline of a nice rack. It looked like the decent 140 class 4-point that had been kicking around. So with the season winding down, and both of my boys with me I decided to take him.

I would Like to have seen the look on my face when I walked up to him, I thought I was going to have to wait untill next year to get him. Sorry, no as they lay photos. No camera with me that day, at home picks will have to do.

Nice whitey, awesome character buck for sure. Once you get the whitey bug, forget it. Trail cams can ruin a guy. LOL

Trail cam almost got me eating beef, I let quite a few smaller ones go early because I knew he was there

If that Fella wandered by when I was guiding (Alberta), I would likely tell the client to pass.
On the other had if I saw that when Hunting myself, regardless of location, my reaction would be SWIFT!

Nice Work Great Buck! LOVE those Splits!
Old Warrior right there alright!

I thought you fell of the face of the earth.
You never posted much at all after you dropped "The Tooley Buck".
For those of you who don't remember or are new to HBC, search 'tooley buck" and you will see a incredible deer with tones of mass and character.
Congratulations on ANOTHER awesome buck.

Region 8, My boys love every minute as long as theres animals to look at. Otherwise, it takes boatloads of snacks to keep them quiet.

The tooley buck was not a blacktail. A muley Buck, it was.
