Wow talk about cutting it close on the last day last evening..My oldest Son Aaron is a very busy Dad and very busy tradesman laying stone and hasn't had any hunting time except one weekend all Fall. We chased some Whiteys around early in the day then headed in early to where my other son Nathan got his..We set-up on the treeline after spooking 8 Does on the way in and got comfy in the trees behind a round Bale. We set out the Montana Doe decoy and waited…..The Does started to filter out again then this Buck at 4:35 stopped at 320 yds and Aaron dropped him with the 300 WSM right in his tracks..It was an awesome close to the season and a long 3/4 mile drag to the truck through 2 ft of snow.
The cool thing is he was only 30 yds from where his brother shot his 8 days before.. :mrgreen:
