i was hunting in 3-19 and didnt see one grouse the entire time. not sure if the 6 inches of snow helped. must have been a wet spring up there

I saw one yesterday.
I'm still jumping them while hiking through the bush.
never groups though, just one here, one there.

Seems like a pretty normal year, IMO. I've seen average numbers in all areas that I've hunted. Lots of blues around this year, too.

what's their cycle on?
anyone know when the peak is?
I wouldn't think it's this year.
I've seen plenty this year, but last year was mega-more.

Those road chickens gave me so many (times LOL) heart attack when I was deer hunting last season I should brought my shotgun instead my rifle. Yes numbers seem average where I hunt for deers.

we hunted 3-19 quite a lot and shot loads this year both spruce and ruffed, not sure what the cycle would be on now but were good numbers for us, what part of 3-19 were you hunting?

This year has been an average to better year. We are in the bush 3-4 days a week and are still continuing to see them this is both Reg 3 and 8
