Tanned fur...show me yours?

So I would like to see pics of projects people have got done with fur if possible. I have plans for a wolf rug and bear rug, all i need are the animals! The bear i got this year had a shitty hide and i missed the shot on a wolf a couple of weeks ago, passed up a shot on a black wolf in the spring as i figured the hide would be poor. I plan on having just the rug made out of both, no feet or heads. It is supposed to get to -20ish this next week in smithers so hopefully the fur will be coming in thick.

Next time don't pass on the wolf with poor fur. We need to get their numbers down and this province isn't doing a thing about it.

wait until the beaver is asleep. Its easier. There are many ways to tire out the beaver. Plenty of sites show how to do this.

If you're wanting a wolf rug, I would strongly recommend that you consider the whole animal being used.

I agree , I have a tanned coyote with face , feet and tail , will have to get a wolf someday . I also have a rug? made from 4 coyotes sewn together without legs etc .

I just took those and followed coach's advice on posting pics ...... No I didn't tan them , we used to have a tannery here in Vernon .
I put the tape to show approximate size of rug .... I just have it in the closet for now , when I build I will have a dedicated "man cave" to put more stuff on the walls

Thanks , they were taken up the mountain (monashee's) ... not too many of the valley bottom ones get fur like that .

Great blanket, exactly the kind of project i want to take on. Was just out walking in my honey hole and there is definately still a wolf pack operating in there. Going to give it a couple of week and go and try to get one. Thanks for posting the pic
