My First Buck!

Congratulations on a very impressive first buck. I'm betting he was not easy to pull out of the bush.

Since he's your first buck and you may not know the best way to cook it, be sure to not overcook the steaks. When cooked to medium well to well done they can get tough. Take them off the heat when medium rare at the most and let them rest (not in the cooking pan but on a plate) for 4 to 5 minutes. This way you'll have some juicy, tender flavourful steaks. Enjoy your harvest.
