After passing on a few decent bucks and missing a nice one at the end of October, I haven't been able to find a legal buck to save my life. All my friends were dropping nice bucks and I was beginning to think I wasn't going to find one. I took a trip back to region 5 to hunt my usual end of november spots and it payed off, first day I was there.
I had built a blind in the spot I shot a buck last yr so i set out and waited there for most of the morning, didnt see a thing other than a little spike on my way back for lunch. After talking to my dad about where to go he told me to go hike the ridge where he had shot a buck this yr already since thats where the majority of the deer tracks were.
I parked the truck and headed out for a hike. About 20 mins in I caught movement out of the corner of my eye, put the binos up and saw a rack and the top of his head looking at me about 65yrds. I could tell he was a 4 point right away so as brought the gun up he was just started to stand up so I shot when he got to his feet and he dropped on the spot. I am pretty happy with him, it's the first buck i've shot with a sticker point and he has a pretty heavy frame. One of the bigger bucks I've shot.
I'll start out with some pics through out the season so far...

Here's a crappy picture of a lynx I saw, was cool to see him as I've only seen a couple before

Here's a pic I got of a bull moose that I saw and ended up spooking him right infront of my camera. I wasn't very happy about it since he trampled right through the area I was expecting a big buck to come out of

Here's where the bull ran through, I saw a really big buck there in the summer and then got a couple trail cam pics of him, never did see him again
