I only got weekends to hunt, tried holding out for bigger bucks but there comes a time when anything will do. They may not be B&C racks, but the meat will definitely be B&C.

I thought this was a tiny deer.....

Then I shot this one......and laughed

I'm wondering if his deformed/injured foot had anything to do with his wonky left antler???

I'd say definitely his foot resulted in his antler.
was it on the opposite side also?

It's a Harris. It's the longest telescopic one they make but I'm too tall to use it sitting in a chair which is what I wanted it for. I can comfortably shoot with it kneeling though. I honestly don't remember what side of the body the deformed foot was. It was a hind foot, and looking at the pic of the buck it seems that the visible (left) leg is normal so I think it was the back right one.

I'd be happy as hell with either one of those bucks (still haven't seen a single WT this season!).

Congrats and bon appetite!

Good eats!

I've only got one day left so any buck will get it...

That was exactly what I said. I passed up lots of bigger ones this year. These are the 2 smallest bucks I've ever shot.

Both bucks will be good table dinners ,,that foot I would say has something to do with the deformed antler ,,congrats to the both of you..

Congrats on punching your tag's! Quite a while back a guy showed me some pic's of a calf moose that was orphaned when the Cow got hit by a car, long story short, the guy kept the calf in his barn for the winter with his cattle. By spring the hoof nail or what ever it's called was long, I mean real long, about 6 inches! They figgered because it wasn't walking around that winter and wearing it down like it's suppose to, it grew up into the air! Looked wild! I think the pic's were all over the internet a while back. Not that this story has anything to do with your bucks foot, but it reminded me of the moose. Anyway's, those Buck Steaks should simply melt in your mouth, cut with a fork tender, so don't even put knives out when you set the table!!!
